Kathleen Broderick

Kathleen Broderick likes to say that she came to yoga from the inside out-meaning that interests in eastern philosophy and a holistic lifestyle were a natural lead in to her own practice. While reading about the merits of yoga and struggling with a poor body image, she came to the realization that she couldn’t move any further with her mind and spirit until her body was moving too. This thought lead to her first class and four years later, to being a RYT graduate of the Simply Yoga Teacher Training program. Kathleen’s 7 Breaths class is a true beginner’s class-welcoming students like herself, who are curious about yoga, but may lack the confidence to come out and give it a try. Its focus is on both our breath and the movement of our bodies. The asanas and pace of this hour long class is slow and gentle following the thought that "the mind follows the breath, and the body follows the mind." Why seven? It is thought to be a mystical and sacred number. The hope is that it will give new students a sense of confidence to continue on their own yogic journey.
